Electrical Project Manager

Position Description

Oversees all aspects of assigned industrial/commercial projects from commencement to completion. You will manage these projects in a manner that exceeds our customers’ expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Job Specifics

  • Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting.
  • Oversee pre-con meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field.
  • Collaborate with prefabrication and design departments
  • Set clear goals and expectations to superintendents and foreman.
  • Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns.
  • When necessary, estimate change orders for assigned projects.
  • Manage all jobs closeout procedures.
  • Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.
  • Provide coaching/counseling to superintendents.
  • Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry.
  • Provide field manager(s) clear and concise direction on all work assignments from crew work schedule, proper material lists and implementation of options
  • Develop work schedules and execute according to time sensitive work assignments and builder deadlines
  • Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials and equipment to be procured for all projects
  • Supervision and accountability for performance of all work to ensure passage of all inspections
  • Actively pursue additional work through new contractors and relay to Business Development Department
  • Oversee project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and proper installation techniques
  • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with prime contractors
  • Attend community safety meetings as required
  • Ensure all Electrical staff understand and meet the expectations of their positions
  • Manage proper staff development for continued service business growth

Needed skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years’ experience (or combination of both)
  • 7 years successful electrical PM experience (large job experience and OSHA 30)
  • Prior experience in electrical estimating
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to travel 25%

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
